RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN
INITIATED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED 'WESTERLY 1/2
SKYLINE BLVD. ALONG M. E. 25" AND GIVING NOTICE OF
THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME:
1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, proceedings have been initiated
by the Council of the City of Burlingame, on its own motion, to
annex to the City of Burlingame all that uninhabited territory
situate in the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby
designated as '%,FSTERLY 1/2 SKYLINE BOULEVARD ALONG M. E., 25"
and particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, incor-
porated herein, and made a part of this Resolution by reference.
2. That the Council of the City of Burlingame desires to
annex said uninhabited territory to the City of Burlingame for the
following reasons:
The territory is contiguous to the City of Burlingame, and
its proposed annexation will contribute to and facilitate
the orderly growth and development of both the City and the
territory proposed to be annexed; will facilitate and con-
tribute to the proper and orderly layout, design and con-
struction of streets, gutters, sidewalks, sanitary and
storm water sewers and drainage facilities, both within
the City and within the territory proposed to be annexed;
and will provide and facilitate proper overall planning
and zoning of lands, and subdivision of lands in said
City and said uninhabited territory, in a manner most con-
ducive to the welfare of said City and said uninhabited
territory.
3. That on May 20, 1970, the Local Agency Formation
Commission of the County of San Mateo, adopted its Resolution No.
271, entitled "Resolution of Local Agency Formation Commission of

the County of San Mateo Making Determinations and Approving the
Proposed Annexation of Territory, Designated as Westerly Portion
of Skyline Boulevard Right -of -Way to the City of Burlingame", where
in and whereby the annexation herein proposed was approved and the
City of Burlingame was authorized to proceed without notice and
hearing, pursuant to Government Code §35015.
4. That Monday, August 3 1970 , at the hour of 8:00
P.M., in theCouncil Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Burlingame, County of San Mateo, California, is hereby fixed as
the time and place when and where any person who owns real prop-
erty in the City of Burlingame, and having any objections to the
proposed annexation, may appear before the Council of the City of
Burlingame and show cause why such uninhabited territory should
not be so annexed to said City of Burlingame. Such protest must
be in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour set for
hearing objections to the proposed annexation, and shall state
the name or names of the owner or owners of property affected, anc
the description and area of such property, in general terms.
5. The City Clerk of the City of Burlingame is hereby
authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be
published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in thi
Advance -Star, a newspaper of general circulation published in sai
City of Burlingame, the City to which it is proposed to annex the
aforesaid territory, and also in the San Mateo Times, a newspaper
of general circulation published outside the City of Burlingame,
but in the County of San Mateo, California, the County in which
is located the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of
Burlingame, said publication to be complete at least twenty (20)
days prior to the date set for hearing.
6. The City Clerk is further authorized and directed
to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be

annexed is assessed in the last equalized County assessment roll
available on the date the above said proceedings were initiated,
at the addresses shown on said assessment roll or known to the
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of lands in which he has interest, either legal
or equitable, with the Clerk, such notice to be given not less
than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on the pro-
posed annexation.
7. In the event any land within the territory proposed
to be annexed is owned by a County, the City Clerk is directed to
cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to
the Board of Supervisors of the County, such notice to be given
not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing
upon said proposed annexation
8. In the event there is, upon the land proposed to be
annexed to said City, a structural improvement owned, being ac-
quired or leased by a County fire protection district, the City
Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such proposed an-
nexation to be mailed to the governing body of such district,such
notice to be sent not less than ten (10) days before the first
public hearing upon such proposed annexation.
9. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice
to be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled
thereto, in the manner required by law.

Description
Parcel 1.
A'strip of land in the County of San Mateo, State of
California,.40 feet in .width, lying westerly and southwesterly
of and contiguous with and measured at right angle to thr center-
line of that right-of-v.-ay of the California State Highway., known
as Skyline Boulevard, 80 feet i'n width, beginning with the north-
westerly line of annexation of "Skyline Manor," as described in
Ordinance No. 466 of the City of.Burlingame, County of San Mateo,
State of California, published June 25, 1948,.and as monumented
by a concrete monument "ME 24.131," said 40 foot strip extending
northwesterly from the northwesterly line of. Skyline Manor Annex-
ation, approximately 2640 lineal feet to the northwesterly city
limits line extended southwesterly across the right-of-way of the
California State Highway, known as Skyline Boulevard.
Parcel 2.
Beginning at a point on the southwesterly right-of-way
line of Skyline Boulevard described as parcel 1, above; said
point being also the southeasterly terminus of the course des-
cribed as "N 47033146" W, 431.97 feet" in PARCEL 113 (1AMENDED)
of Instrument No. 113072 of Lis Pendens, recorded December 29,
1966 in Vol. 5254 at page 129, 0''R. of San Mateo County; thence
N 47033'46" W 431.97 feet, N 50057'43" E 64.03 feet and S 39b02'
17" E 427.26 feet to the point of beginning.
Parcel 3.
Beginning at a point on the Si•11y right-of-way lire of
parcel. 1, above;.said point being
Skyline Boulevard described as
N 39002'17" 41 734.59 feet from the SEly terminus of the course
described as "N 47033146" W, 431.97 feet" in PARCEL 1B (A14ENDED)
of Instrument No. 113072 of Lis Pendens, recorded December 29,
1966 in Vol, 5254 at page 129, 0. R. of San Mateo County; thence
from a tangent with bears S 46045152" iP, along a curve to the
left with a radius of 229.00 feet through an angle of 3024'01"
an arc distance of 13,59 feet, thence N 39002'17" W 682.7 feet,
N 17011' 25" E 16.84 feet-to-the-SI-73y-�'ight=of=.Tay-l-nve "of sky-
line Boulevard; thence along said Silly right-of-way line of
Skyline Boulevard S 39002'17" E 690 feet more or less to the
point of beginning.
Above Parcels 2 and 3 being the portions of Parcel 8
of pending relinquishment from State of California, Division
of Highways, Project No. 140351 (Rel. No., 31482, 31484)..
