URGING THE SAN MATEO UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT
TRUSTEES AND OFFICIALS TO CONTINUE SCHLDULING THE.
TRADITIONAL LITTLE -BIG GAME BETWEEN SAN MATEO HIGH
SCHOOL AND BURLINGAME HIGH SCHOOL ON THANKSGIVING DAY.
WHEREAS, information has been received that the tradional
Thanksgiving; Little -Big Game between San Mateo High School and
Burlingame High School is in danger of being abandoned, and
WHEREAS, the abandonment of this traditional rivalry on
this day will be a great disappointment to a great number of
citizens, and
WHEREAS, such action would be contrary to the public
interest and traditions of these two communities,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BURLINGAME CITY
COUNCIL, that all school officials and the Board of Trustees
of the San Mateo County Union High School District are
hereby urged to continue the scheduling of this traditional
game on Thanksgiving day as being in the best interest of the
public and the citizens of these two communities.

the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council held on the 171-h day of January, 1966,
and adopted thereafter by the following votes:
