AWARDING CONTRACT
TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM
FOR THE INTERSECTION OF
MAHLER ROAD AND BAYSHORE HIGHWAY
JOB NO. 73-14, SS 143
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation
for bids for constructing traffic signals at one street inter-
section including detectors, signals, controller, lighting and
all appurtenant work; and
WHEREAS, on December 3, 1973, all bids received were
opened before the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works;
and
WHEREAS, ARC ELECTRIC CO., a corporation, submitted
the lowest bid for doing said work for the sum of $27,719.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED, that the bid of ARC ELECTRIC CO., a corporation, for the
sum of "$-2-7,719.00 be, and the same is hereby, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into
between the successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the
City of Burlingame for the performance of said work and that the
City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized for and on behalf
of the City of Burlingame, to execute said contract, and to
approve the faithful performance bond and labor and materials bond
required to be furnished by the contractor.
