AWARDING CONTRACT - CITY SIDEWALK REPAIR PROGRAM - 1972-1973
JOB NO. 72-14
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation
for bids for approximately 9,000 square feet of sidewalk replace-
ment, driveway and curb and gutter replacement at miscellaneous
locations throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, on November 15, 1972, all bids received were
opened before the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works;
and
WHEREAS, J. B.. MALDONADO, an individual doing business
under the name and style of BARNEY'S CONCRETE, submitted the
lowest bid for doing said work for the sum of $14,467.50.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED, that the bid of J. B. MALDONADO, an individual, doing
business under the name and style of BARNEY'S CONCRETE, for the
sum of $14,467.50 be, and the same is hereby, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into
between the successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the
City of Burlingame for the performance of said work and that the
City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized for and on behalf
of the City of Burlingame, to execute said contract, and to
approve the faithful performance bond and labor and materials
bond required to be furnished by the contractor.

I, HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk of the City of
Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
20th day of November 1972, and adopted thereafter
by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: AMSTRUP-CROSBY-CUSICK-MANGINI-MARTIN
NOES: COUNCILMEN: NONE
