RESOLUTION NO. 6-71
DECLARING THAT CITY OF BURLINGAME PROVIDE ITS OWN
FIRE PROTECTION AND THAT NO PROPERTY WITHIN THE
CITY SHOULD BE ASSESSED FOR ANY PORTION OF THE
COSTS OF FIRE PROTECTION SERVICE IN THE COUNTY OF
SAN MATEO
(GOVERNMENT CODE 9 25643)
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame
WHEREAS, Section 25643 of the Government Code, as amended
by Chapter 610, Statutes of 1970, provides that every city which
provides its own fire protection services may file a resolution
with the Board of Supervisors so declaring and thereafter shall
not be assessed for certain county fire protection services; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of this City Council, on behalf
of the residents of the City of Burlingame, to so act pursuant
to Section 25643 of the Government Code:
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Counci
of the City of Burlingame declares that it is providing fire
protection services within its jurisdiction, and the area of sai
city therefore should not be assessed during the 1971-72 fiscal
year, or any year thereafter, for the costs of county fire
protection services as provided by Government Code Section 25643

the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council held on the 16th day of February, 1971, and
adopted thereafter by the following votes:
