HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 057-1971RESOLUTION 57 - 71 ACCEPTING GRANT (OMNIBUS CRIME CONTROL AND SAFE STREETS ACT - PA 90-351) AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame desires to undertake sup- port of Drug Abuse Education and Counseling in the San Mateo Unic High School District to be funded in part from funds made avail- able through the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 administered by the California Council on Criminal Justice, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that as the California Council on Criminal Justice has consented to fund the above pro- ject, the City of Burlingame agrees to accept the grant and de- signates Dr. Edward T. Walsh, Assistant Superintendent of the Sar Mateo Union High School District to execute on behalf of the Citj of Burlingame the contract for the grant for law enforcement purposes. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to sub- contract the operation of this project to the San Mateo Union High School District and the District agrees to provide the re- quired matching funds to said project. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereundE shall not be used to supplant ongoing law enforcement nor educational expenditures. I, HERBERT K.
