AWARDING CONTRACT FOR RESURFACING MISCELLANEOUS CITY STREETS
JOB NO. 71-2
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation of bi
for resurfacing of approximately 500,000 square feet of pavement
with asphalt concrete by the heater -remix method, and appurtenant
work; and
WHEREAS, on September 29 , 1971, all bids received
were opened before the City Clerk and the Director of Public
and
WHEREAS, THE LOWRIE PAVING COMPANY, INC., a corporation, sub-
mitted the lowest responsible bid for doing said work for the sum
of $39,369.75;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that
the bid of THE LOWRIE PAVING COMPANY, INC., a corporation, for
sum of $39,369.75 be, and the same is hereby, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into
the successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the City of
Burlingame for the performance of said work and that the City
Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized for and on behalf of the
City of Burlingame, to execute said contract, and to approve the
faithful performance bond and labor and materials bond required to
be furnished by the contractor.
