ENDORSING MEASURES RECOMMENDED BY
REGIONAL COMMITTEE ON NAVIGATION
AND THE ENVIRONMENT FOR SAN FRANCISCO
BAY AND WATERWAYS SYSTEM
WHEREAS the Regional Committee on Navigation and the
Environment, under the auspices of the Association of Bay
Area Governments and the San Francisco Marine Exchange, has
proposed recommendations relative to safety of navigation in
the San Francisco Bay and its tributaries to minimize future
accidents and resulting environmental degradation, and
WHEREAS the Marine Exchange of San Francisco has
formally endorsed the recommendations, and
WHEREAS the Executive Committee of the Association of
Bay Area Governments has endorsed these recommended measures,
and
WHEREAS said Executive Committee has forwarded its
endorsement and copies of the report of the Regional Committee
on Navigation and the Environment to the concerned legislative
committees in Congress and the State Legislature,
BE IT RESOLVED that the city of Burlingame endorsed
the measures recommended by the Regional Committee on Navigation
and the Environment as desirable for establishment by federal
and state legislation in the San Francisco Bay and waterways
system.

that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on the 16 day of August,
1971, and adopted thereafter by the following votes:

ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Crosby
