A RESOLUTION REQUIRING THE CITY TREASURER TO
PERFORM THE DUTIES OF PAYROLL CLERK, PRESCRIBING
HIS DUTIES AS SUCH PAYROLL CLERK AND FIXING THE
COMPENSATION FOR SUCH DUTIES.
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame,
California, that in addition to the duties prescribed by law and
by ordinance, the City Treasurer be, and he is hereby authorized
and directed to perform the functions and fulfil the duties of
Payroll Clerk.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that such function and duties shall
include, but are not limited to, the preparation of paychecks;
the preparation of all payroll records required by the provisions
of the United States Internal Revenue Code required to be pre-
pared, maintained or delivered by any employer, together with the
preparation and filing of such reports as may now or hereafter be
required by the provisions of said Internal Revenue Code; and the
preparation and filing of such reports as may now or hereafter be
required by the provisions of the Labor Code of the State of
California pertaining to Workman's Compensation Insurance.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that Resolution No. 66-70 entitled, "A
Resolution requiring the City Treasurer to perform the duties of
Payroll Clerk, prescribing his duties as such Payroll Clerk and
fixing the compensation for such duties," adopted July 6, 1970,
be, and the same is hereby rescinded.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Treasurer shall receive,
for the foregoing duties, the sum of $626.00 per month for
July, 1971, and $258.00 per month thereafter.

meeting of the City Council, held on the 21st day of June
