AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION
ON BAYSHORE HIGHWAY WIDENING
BETWEEN BURLWAY ROAD AND MAHLER ROAD

WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation of bids
Eor Bayshore Highway Widening between Burlway and Mahler Roads,
is streets in the City of Burlingame, generally consisting of
ening approximately 500 lineal feet of Bayshore Highway, one
side only, including A. C. pavement, concrete curb, gutter, side -
and related items; and
WHEREAS, on July 6, 1972, all bids received were opened before
e City Clerk and the Director of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, B. FONTANA & SONS, INC., a corporation submitted the
lowest responsible bid for doing said work for the sum of $11,599.0q.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that
bid of B. FONTANA & SONS, INC., a corporation, for the sum of
$11,599.00 be, and the same is hereby accepted, subject to award
TOPICS funds by the Federal Highway Administration.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into between
successful bidder hereinabove referred to subject to said
award and the City of Burlingame for the performance of said work
that the City Manager be, and he is then authorized for and on
of the City of Burlingame, to execute said contract, and to

approve the faithful performance bond and labor and materials
bond required to be furnished by the contractor.

I, HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk of the City of
Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
17 day of July, 1972, and adopted thereafter by the follow-
ing vote:
