HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 002-1970RESOLUTION NO. 2-70 ACKNOWLEDGING FORTIETH ANNIVERSARY RUSSELL COLLEGE WHEREAS, RUSSELL COLLEGE of Burlingame, California, was founded as the College of Our Lady of Mercy by the Sisters of Mercy in 1929; WHEREAS, the College has rendered significant service to the People of California and Arizona by preparing Sisters of Mercy for assignment in the fields of education, health services and social work; WHEREAS, the College through their endeavors has brought credit to the Sisters of Mercy and the City of Burlingame and has contributed to the physical, intellectual and moral greatness of California; BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame to extend to the Board of Trustees, the President, the Faculty and Students, sincere congratulations upon the commemmoration of the fortieth Anniversary of Russell College.
