AWARDING CONTRACT
TRAFFIC SIGNALS - CALIFORNIA
DRIVE AND BAYSWATER AVENUE

JOB NO. 71 - 6
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation
of bids for the removal and salvaging of the flashing beacon and
electroliers and the installation of a signal and lighting on
California Drive between Burlingame Avenue and. Peninsula Avenue,
public streets in the City of Burlingame; and
WHEREAS, on May 25, 1972, all bids received were opened
before the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, R. FLATLAND CO., a corporation, submitted the
lowest responsible bid for doing said work for the sum of
$18,256.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED,
that the bid of R. FLATLAND CO., a corporation, for the sum of
$18,256.00 be, and the same is hereby, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into
between the successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the
City of Burlingame for the performance of said work and that the
City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized for and on behalf
of the City of Burlingame, to execute said contract, and to ap-
prove the faithful performance bond and labor and materials bond
required to be furnished by the contractor.

I, HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk of the City of
Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on
the 5th day of June, 1972, and adopted thereafter by the fol-
lowing vote:
