HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 064-1974RESOLUTION NO. r,4 -74 AUTHORIZING DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN RECORDS, DOCUMENTS AND PAPERS WHEREAS, Section 34090 of the Government Code of the State of California provides that with the approval of the legislative body by resolution, and with the consent of the City Attorney, the head of a city department may destroy any city record, document, instrument, book or paper not less than five (5) years old, under his charge, without making a copy thereof, after the same is no longer required, with certain exceptions not here of concern; and WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has recommended the destruction of certain records more particularly described in Exhibit A attached hereto; and NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Burlingame does hereby resolve and determine as follows: 1. Pursuant to Sections 34090-34090.7 of the California Government Code, the Chief of Police of this City be, and he is hereby, authorized to destroy the records, documents, instruments books and papers in the possessions of the Police Department of this City, as shown on the attached Exhibit "A", and incorporated herein by reference. 2. None of said records, documents, instruments, books or papers constitute records affecting the title to real property or liens thereon, court records, records required to be kept by statute, or minutes, ordinances or resolutions of the City Council or of any City board or commission. 3. All of said records, documents, instruments, books and papers are more than 5 years old. - 1 - I, HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 4th day of November , 1974 , and adopted thereafter by the following vote: Ayes Councilmen: Amstrup-Crosby-Cusick-Harrison-Mangini Noes Councilmen: None Absent: Councilmen: None HERBERT K.
