AWARDING CONTRACT FOR WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS
JOB NO. 72-3
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation
of bids for approximately 7,740 linear feet of water main con-
struction and appurtenant work in the City of Burlingame; and
WHEREAS, on February 2, 1972, all bids received were
opened before the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works;
and
WHEREAS, FAIRLEY CONSTRUCTORS, a corporation, submitted
the lowest responsible bid for doing said work for the sum of
$229,976.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED that the bid of FAIRLEY CONSTRUCTORS, a corporation, for
the sum of $229,976.00 be, and the same is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into
between the successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the
City of Burlingame for the performance of said work and that
the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized for and on
behalf of the City of Burlingame, to execute said contract,
and to approve the faithful performance bond and labor and
materials bond required to be furnished by the contractor.
I, HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk of the City of
Burlingame do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on
the 22nd day of February , 1972, and adopted thereafter
by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Amstrup-Crosby-Johnson-Mangini-Martin
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
