AWARDING CONTRACT - BURLINGAME AVENUE FROM EL CAMINO REAL TO
CALIFORNIA DRIVE
BURLINGAME AVENUE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT
JOB NO. 5371
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation of
bids for the construction of new exposed aggregate sidewalks, conc
curbs and gutters, brick cross walks, reconstruction of basements
to existing under sidewalks, concrete planters, street signs, all
plumbing work, etc., on Burlingame Avenue between El Camino Real
and California Drive in accordance with the plans and specifica-
tions, Job no. 5371, dated June 21, 1971, prepared by Ronald A.
Perner, A.I.A., architect; and
WHEREAS, on February 2, 1972, all bids received were opened
before the City Clerk, the Director of Public Works and the said
Architect; -and
WHEREAS, SORENSEN & MARSH, INC., a corporation, submitted
the lowest base bid for doing said work for the sum of
$217,000.00; and
WHEREAS, said invitation of bids invited the submission of
proposals for additive amounts for the construction and perfor-
mance of five (5) additional alternates to be applied to the
amount of the base bid:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED
that the base bid of SORENSEN & MARSH, INC., a corporation, for
the sum of $217,000.00 be, and the same is hereby accepted, and
that all other bids be, and the same are hereby rejected.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proposals of SORENSEN &
MARSH, INC., a corporation for the following additional alternates

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED
that a contract be entered into be-
tween the successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the City
of Burlingame for the performance of said work and that the City
Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized for and on behalf of
the City of Burlingame, to execute said contract, and to approve
the faithful performance bond and labor and materials bond re-
quired to be furnished by the contractor.
I, HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk of the City of Burlingame,
do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced at
a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 7th day of
February, 1972, and adopted thereafter by the following vote:
