COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. 20-73
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION
COSTS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE RESURFACING OF HILLSIDE DRIVE
FROM ALVARADO AVENUE TO SKYLINE BOULEVARD
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame, State of
California, that
WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo is preparing to call for bids for the
resurfacing of Hillside Drive from Alvarado Avenue to Skyline Boulevard•, and
WHEREAS, within the project limits portions of Hillside Drive are within
the corporate limits of the City of Burlingame; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to have those areas within the City's corporate
limits resurfaced as part of the County's resurfacing project; and
WHEREAS, there has been presented to this City Council an agreement
between the City of Burlingame and the County of San Mateo covering said
work and providing for the reimbursement of costs incurred by the County:
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AND DETERMINED that the Mayor shall
execute the said agreement on behalf of the City of Burlingame and the signature
of the City Clerk shall attest thereto.

RESOLUTION DESIGNATING A PORTION OF HILLSIDE DRIVE,
LOS ALTOS DRIVE, LOS MONTES DRIVE, ALTURAS DRIVE, LA
MESA DRIVE AND NEWTON DRIVE WITHIN THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AS A COUNTY HIGHWAY AND REQUESTING CONSENT OF SAID CITY
THERETO
RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State
of California, that
WHEREAS, Section 1700 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code authorizes
this Board of Supervisors, by resolution adopted by 4/5ths vote, to declare
any highway in the county in whole or in part within a city to be a county
highway of the county for one or more of the following purposes: acquisition
of rights of way, construction, maintenance, improvement, or repair, upon
consent of the city council of such city; and
WHEREAS, Section 1701 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code authorizes
the city council of a city, by resolution, to consent to the use of a street
or highway within any portion of its incorporated limites by the Board of
Supervisors of the county for one or more of the following purposes: acquisition
of rights of way, construction, maintenance, improvement, or repair; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that portions of Hillside Drive,
Los Altos Drive, Los Montes Drive, Alturas Drive, La Mesa Drive and Newton
Drive situated within the territory of the City of Burlingame be declared and
established as a county highway for the purposes hereinabove described, to wit:
for acquisition of rights of way, construction, maintenance, improvement or
repair:
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Board of Super —visors shall, and does, by 4/5ths vote of its
members, declare those portions of Hillside Drive, Los Altos Drive, Los Montes
Drive, Alturas Drive, La Mesa Drive and Newton Drive situated within the territory

of. the City of Burlingame, as more particularly described 'in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, to be a County Highway of the County of San Mateo for the
purposes hereinabove described, to wit: for acquisition of rights of way,
construction, maintenance, improvement or repair, in conjunction with the
proposed resurfacing of Hillside Drive.
2. That the City Council of the City of Burlingame be, and it is hereby,
requested to adopt a resolution consenting to the establishment of said
Hillside Drive, et al, above described as a County Highway of the County of
San Mateo.
