MAKING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
THREE-STORY OFFICE BUILDING;
FOUR -TIER OPEN PARKING STRUCTURE

WHEREAS, the California Environmental Quality Act of
1970 (Public Resources Code, 9§2100 to 21151, inclusive) pro-
vides that local governmental agencies which have not adopted a
conservation element of their general plan shall make written
environmental impact reports on any project they intend to carry
out which may have a significant effect on, the environment; and
WHEREAS, the California Environmental Quality Act of
1970 has been construed by the California Supreme Court to re-
quire local governmental agencies, including municipalities, to
make an environmental impact report upon all private applications
for lease, permit, license, certificate, or other authorization
or entitlement of use; and
WHEREAS, members of the public and other concerned
parties must be given an opportunity to provide input both in
the making of the report and the ultimate decision upon the pri-
vate application based in part upon that report; and
WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact;Report entitled and
numbered as set forth above has been prepared and filed in,the
Office of the City Clerk.of this City, and set for hearing before
this Council; and
WHEREAS, a copy of said Environmental Impact Report
was posted at the place, and a notice of hearing was published

I, HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk of the City of
Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
Zp day of February , 197 3, and adopted thereafter
by the following vote:

in the form and manner, and at the times heretofor provided by
this Council; and
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of February ,
197 3, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall of the City of Burlingame, County of San Mateo,
State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and
place fixed by the City Clerk for hearing upon said Environmental
Impact Report, the City Council did hear and pass upon said
Environmental Impact Report, at which hearing all persons desir-
ing to be heard were heard and evidence, both oral and documen-
tary, was received from all persons desiring to introduce evi-
dence,
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ordered that:
1. The Environmental Impact ,Report designated above,
as the same was prepared and filed with the City Clerk, be, and
the same is hereby declared to be the Environmental Impact Report
required by law to be made by the local agency, and is hereby
made by this Council for and on behalf of the City of Burlingame,
subject only to the following modifications:
