FIXING AND ESTABLISHING CLASSIFICATIONS, SALARIES
AND RATES OF PAY OF SAFETY EMPLOYEES IN THE CITY
SERVICE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
The City Council of the City of Burlingame, California, does
RESOLVE as follows:
1. The classifications of Safety employees within the City Service
of the City of Burlingame and their salaries, compensation or
rates of pay, are hereby fixed and established as set forth in
Exhibit A, effective March 1, 1975, attached to this Resolution
by reference.
2. Employees shall be paid at the step in these exhibits in the
range at which they are established.
3. The rates of pay set forth in the foregoing schedule represent
the standard monthly rate of compensation in terms of dollars per
month based upon full employment.
4. Any Police Officer assigned to the duty of operating a solo
motorcycle shall receive extra compensation of 5% of the basic
Police Officer's pay, as hazard pay.
5. The Police Officer assigned to duty as Inspector of Police
Detective or Juvenile Officer shall receive extra compensation at
the rate of seventy-five ($75.00) dollars per month.
6. The Fireman assigned to duty as Equipment Mechanic's Helper
and Electrician's Helper shall receive extra compensation at the
rate of fifty ($50.00) dollars per month.
7. Existing longevity and educational programs and schedules shall
remain in effect.

going Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 5th day of May, 1975, and adopted thereafter
