RESOLUTION NO 13 - 76
AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION OF CITY
BURLINGAME IN "CAPTURE" PROGRAM
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame, California,
WHEREAS, the fight against the ever-growing problem of crime
requires citizen involvement and cooperation with local law enforcement; and
WHEREAS, the law enforcement officials of San Mateo County, working
cooperatively with the Regional Criminal Justice Planning Board, designed
"CAPTURE," a Citizen Crime Prevention Program, to meet this need for citizen
involvement and crime prevention awareness; and
WHEREAS, "CAPTURE" has been instrumental in developing such citizen
involvement through the organization of citizen committees within the County,
working in conjunction with their local law enforcement agencies to develop
crime prevention programs; and
WHEREAS, a continuing coordinated program of citizen involvement in
crime prevention will benefit from the continued existence of a full-time
coordinating, resource staff (CAPTURE); and
WHEREAS, the project known as CAPTURE has been approved by and is
to be ninety per cent (90%) funded through the Office of Criminal Justice;
five per cent (5%) through State hard match; and five per cent (5%) through
local buy -in (5% totaling $4,166);
Now, therefore, it is hereby DETERMINED and ORDERED, that:
This Council hereby authorizes Burlingame's participation in the
county -wide crime prevention program to be known as CAPTURE and agrees to
"buy -in" to this project in the amount of $244.41.

does hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at a
