AWARDING CONTRACT
ADDITIONS AND ALTERATIONS
FIRE STATIONS NO. 1 AND NO. 3
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation for additions
and alterations to Fire Stations No. 1 and No. 3; and
WHEREAS, on July 19, 1977, all bids received were opened before the
City Clerk and the Director of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, THORNTON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY of Palo Alto, California,
submitted the lowest bid for the work in the sum of $121,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that the
bid of THORNTON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, for the sum of $121,000 be, and the
same is hereby, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into between the
successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the City of Burlingame for the
Performance of said work, and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized for and on behalf of the City of Burlingame to execute said contract
and to approve the faithful performance bond and labor and materials bond
required to be furnished by the contractor.

certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council held on the 1st day of August, 1977, and was adopted there-
after by the following vote:
