AWARDING CONTRACT
ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO CORPORATION
YARD BUILDINGS
JOB NO. 76-16
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation for bids
for Alterations and Additions to Corporation Yard Buildings (Job 76-16); and
WHEREAS, on January 27, 1977, all bids received were opened
before the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, THORNTON CONSTRUCTION CO. of San Mateo, California
submitted the lowest bid for doing the work described in Schedule A in the
amount of $34,510.00, and the lowest bid for Items 1,3,4,5 of
Schedule B in the amount of $ 17,520.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that
the bid of THORNTON CONSTRUCTION CO. in the sum of $34,510.00 for the work
described in Schedule A, and in the amount of $1715.20.00Jor the work descri
as Items 1,3,4,5 of Schedule B, be, and the same is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into between
the successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the City of Burlingame for
the performance of said work, and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized for and on behalf of the City of Burlingame to execute said con-
tract and to approve the faithful performance bond and labor and materials
bond required to be furnished by the contractor.

hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on the 7th day of February, 1977, and was
adopted thereafter by the following vote:
