RESOLUTION NO. 77- 78
RESOLUTION CONCURRING IN COUNTYWIDE
EXPENDITURE PLAN UNDER THE STATE
LITTER CONTROL, RECYCLING AND RESOURCE
RECOVERY ACT OF 1977
RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California has
enacted the State Litter Control, Recycling and Resource Recovery
Act (Sec. 68000, et seq. of the Government Code), which provides
funds to certain entities for litter cleanup, litter law enforce-
ment, litter education, and purchase of litter receptacles; and
WHEREAS, said Act allows the total funds allocated for
expenditure within each county to be distributed in accordance
with a plan by the county and the cities and approved by the
county board of supervisors and by at least 50 percent (50%) of
the cities representing at least 50 percent (50%) of the total
population residing within the cities in the county; and
1,1HEREAS, an expenditure plan in conformance with the Act
(has now been completed through joint efforts of the County of San
o and the Regional Planning Committee's Subcommittee on Litter
(Control, Recycling and Resource Recovery; and
lapproval;
WHEREAS, said plan has been submitted to this Council for
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
(the City of Burlingame:
1. Concurs in the filing of the following countywide
lapplications for funding under the Litter Control, Recycling and
Resource Recovery Fund:
11/30/78
A. An application .for litter cleanup and enforcement
funds pursuant to Government Code Sections 68043 and
B. An application for education and litter receptacle
funds pursuant to Government Code Sections 68048 and

2. Certifies that it understands the general provisions
of the expenditure plan.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at
a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 4th day of
December, 1978, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
