AWARDING CONTRACT
1978 WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS

WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation
for the 1978 Water System Improvements - Job 78-2; and
WHEREAS, on July 11, 1978, all bids received were op
before the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, McGUIRE AND HESTER submitted the lowest bid
for said job in the sum of $221,980.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED, that the bid of MCGUIRE AND HESTER for said Job No. 78-2
in the sum of $221,980.00 be, and the same is hereby, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into
between the successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the Cit
of Burlingame for the performance of said work, and that the City
Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized for and on behalf of the
City of Burlingame to execute said contract and to approve the
faithful performance bond and the labor and materials bond re-
quired to be furnished by the contractor.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at
a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 17th day of
July, 1978, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
