AUTHORIZING DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN -
RECORDS, DOCUMENTS AND PAPERS
WHEREAS, Section 34090 of the Government Code of the State of
California provides that with the approval of the legislative body by
resolution, and with the consent of the Citv Attorney, the.head of a city
department may, with certain exceptions, destroy any city record, document,
instrument, book or paper not less than two (2) years old, without makinga
copy thereof, and after the same is no longer required; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended
the destruction of certain records, more particularly described below;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Burlingame,
California, does hereby RESOLVE AND DETERMINE as follows:
1. Pursuant to Section 34090 of the California Government Code,
the Director of Public Works of this City be, and
he is hereby, authorized to destroy the following records, documents
and papers in the possession of his office and which are more than
two (2) years old;
All those papers and documents listed on the schedule
attached hereto marked EXHIBIT A.
2. None of said records, documents and papers constitute records
affecting the title to real property or liens thereon, court records,
records required to be kept by statute, or minutes, ordinances or
resolutions of the City Council, or of any City board or commission.

does hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on the 5th day of June 197 8,
and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:

2. Register of letters sent by certified mail, October, 1969, through
April, 1970.
3. Duplicate copies of invoices for sidewalk repairs, 1969 and 1970.
4. Overtime approval slips,1970 to 1975.
5. Sweeper equipment and materials - requests for quotations,
proposals and bids prior to 1968.
6. Miscellaneous correspondence regarding sweeper materials and
street sweeping, 1967 and 1968.
7. Dupl i cate "draft" copies of city council resolutions.
8. Resolution draft transmittal letters and resolution draft copies,
1964 through 1968.
9. Trash can bids, orders, quotations and correspondence prior to
1958.
10. Duplicate letters and resolutions - reference Reclamation District
2097.
11. Miscellaneous 1963 through 1968 correspondence with State Division
of Highways.
12. Pacific Gas & Electric reconstruction permits prior to 1971.
13. Correspondence with Pacific Gas & Electric Company regarding utility
construction coordination and building project services.
14. Correspondence with WOCB (Water Quality Control Bard) prior to 1968
relating to bypasses on sewers and their elimination.
15. Correspondence and reports on street lights change to M.V. in 1965
by Pacific Gas & Electric Company.
16. State Division of Highways correspondence and reports on gas tax
prior to 1963, "major city street" system changes, memos re.legis-
lation on gas tax, miscellaneous streets related legislation, and
gas tax memos prior to 1964.
17. Complete engineering project file on sidewalk repair project No. 65-19
done in 1965-66.
18. Burlingame Industrial Assessment District - duplicate council
resolution copies and duplicate progress payment orders.
