HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Packet - LB - 1951.07.06 Minutes of the meeting of the BURLINGAME PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD, June 13, 1951 Trustees present: President Johnson, Mrs. Harrison, Mr. Burns, Mr. Crosby, Mr. Fichtner The minutes of the May 23 meeting were read and approved. Bills: The bills were checked by members of the Board. On motion by Mr. Crosby, seconded by Mrs. Harrison, and 'carried, the bills for $4,647.30 were ordered paid. The librariants report, as given on the statistical page of the monthly report, was ordered accepted upon motion by Mrs. Harrison, seconded by Mr. Crosby, and carried. Old Business: Civil Service Commission: New examination--After some discussion, it was moved by Mr. Fichtner, seconded by Mr. Crosby, that the Civil Service Commission be asked to give an examination for Junior Librarian as soon as.possible. Lighting: The Librarian reported that a satisfactory settlement had been made with Phillips and Edwards and that the installation �- of the lights would proceed at once. New Business: Garbage disposal at the Branch: It was decided that Mrs. Manwell should dispose of her garbage herself. Adjournment: On motion by Mrs. Harrison, seconded by Mr. Crosby, the meeting was adjourned.
