B"URLINGAME PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD
October 10, 1951
Trustees present: President Johnson, Mrs. Harrison, Mr. Burns,
1v1r. Fichtner, Mr. Crosby
The minutes of the previous meeting of September 12th were read
and approved.
BILLS:
On motion by Mr. Fichtner, seconded by Mrs. Harrison,
the bills in the amount of $4,191.70 were ordered paid.
The librarian's report was accepted.
The monthly financial statement was approved.
OLD BUSINESS:
The Civil Service Commission will establish an eligible
list for library aid as soon as the librarian deems it
necessary. There are several applicants for the senior
position, which will be considered and submitted to the
Civil Service Commissions
NEW BUSINESS:
Non-resident students: FKchange cards will be granted
to the County library branches, if so requested. These
may-be used by non-resident students.
Flag: The flag pole, as refinished by the Fire Depart-
ment, will be set and the flag, as donated by the
Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, will be raised
with appropriate ceremonies as planned by Mrs. Lancaster.
Library hours: It was moved by Mr. Fichtner, seconded by
Mr. Crosby, that beginning November 4th the library
should be open on Sunday from 2-5 P.M. for a triAl
period during the winter.
COMM[TNICATIONS:
A letter was read from the library staff thanking the
Board and the Librarian for their trip, etc. to the
State Library Convention.
ADJOURNMENT:

The meeting adjourned on motion by Mr. Burns, seconded
by Mr. Crosby.
