HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Packet - LB - 1952.02.14 NO BOARD 1ri1MING HELD IN JANUARY, 1952 Minutes of the meeting of the BURLINGAME PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD December 13, 1951 Trustees present: President Johnson, Mr. Burns, Mr. Fichtner, Mr. Crosby On motion the minutes of the November 14 meeting were read and approved BILLS: On motion by Mr. Crosby 'seconded by Mr. Fichtner, the bills in the amount of 61,384.33 were ordered paid. " The librarian's report was accepted and the financial statement approved. OLD BUSINESS: Civil Serviee Commission: The librarian stated that in due time he would ask the Civil Service Commission for an examination for the position of Senior Librarian. Kirkbride gift: It was determined from a letter sub- mitted by the Kirkbride attorney that the gift can only be used for books. Checking account: It was decided that a checking account would not be necessary. COMMUNICATIONS: None NEW BUSINESS: It was suggested that the librarian inquire Into the feasibility of having a drinking fountain placed, j possibly, just outside the entrance of the library. Change of;by-laws: The Board requested the librarian to notify the members of the Board in the announcement of the next meeting that there would be a slight change in the by-laws.
