BILLS On motion by Mr. Crosby seconded by Mrs. Harrison, the bills in the amount of 1-1,670.19 were ordered. paid. LIBRARIAN'S REPORT The librarian's report for the month of March was accepted and the financial statement for the month was approved. OLD BUSINESS Civil Service. Upon oral communication from the chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Mary Jane Welbasky will be appointedAssistant Librarian pending the receipt of a formal notification from the secretary of the Civil Service Commission. Appointment to be effective immediately. Budget. The budget as submitted by the librarian was studied and generally approved. The formal approval will take place at the next meeting of the Baord which has been designated as May 14 by those trustees present. NEW.BUSINESS Any action the librarian may take in cooperation with the Lions Club in regard to the proposed listening room and young people's room in the area now known as the board room and the children's room will be endorsed by the Board.
