LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
The librarian's report was accepted and the financial

OLD BUSINESS
The installation of an additional telephone line with
unlisted number for the use of the librarian and an
extension in the workroom was discussed. It was decided
that there would be nearly enough money received from the
public telephone booths to pay for this. It was also
decided to have the lighting of the outside booth installed
by a private contractor, in lieu of the fact that the
city electrician has bean unable to install it due to the
pressure of his business. It was moved by Mr. Cargill
and seconded by Mrs. Cohendet that the librarian be
instructed to have a phone installed and also to
have the outside telephone booth comiected with the
library lighting system by a private contractor if
necessary.
Changes. The librarian will contact the Civil Service
Commission and with the help of the City Attorney and
the City Clerk will formulate a new designation for various
positions in the library, in order to more accurately describe
the functions of those positions that have hitherto been
designated as Junior and Senior librarian.

gift from the Kirkbride estate and Nir. Cargill was in-
structed to write a letter of appreciation to Mrs. Kirk-
bride.

appointed to cooperate with the librarian in forming a
