Trustees present: t.Irs. Harrison, 1irs. Cohendet, Mr. Crosby, Xr. Burns,
hir. Cargill.
Trustees absent: None.
MINUTES
The minutes of the previous meeting August 17, 1955 were read
and approved.
BILLS
On a motion made by Iar. ,,Uargill and seconded by Isirs. Cohendet the
bills in the amount of x1883.18 were ordered paid.
LIBRARIA`i I S R�rOR^1
The librarian's report was accepted and the financial state-
ment was approved and placed on file.
OLD BUSIPiLISS
Friends of the Library. The librarian reported that due to the
press or work, he had contacted Mrs. Cohendet only be telephone
and that she was prepared to meet with him to form plans for the
future establishment of the Friends of the Library group.' The
librarian stated that he had obtained the names of certain people
who might be interested and that they would be contacted after
a plan of action had been formed.
Dedication of the Flag. 11r. Cargill has completed his research
on early TrUSE-e-e-s-la-Mc7the lists will be forwarded to the Auxiliary
for their use in preparing invitations to the October 18th
dedication.
NEIN BUSINESS
A letter to Hillsborough regarding the cooperation of the City
of Hillsborough in the problem of non-resident use of our library
by the many high school students from Hillsborough and by the
Hillsborough residents who make use of our reference facilities
and ch o do not have non-resident cards was discussed. It was
decided that such a letter should be written after consultation
with those patrons of the library from Hillsborough who are
interested in some form of cooperative agreement between the two
cities in regards to the library use.
Announcement of Board meetings. The librarian was instructed to
inform the newspaper of ruture library Board meetings.

flag an appropriate ceremony was riven by the American
Lcgio,_ !xiliary. After the dedication, an open house was
