RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
APPROVING JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT
CREATING HOUSING ENDOWMENT AND TRUST OF SAN MATEO COUNTY AND
AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO SIGN THE AGREEMENT
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame:
WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo and a number of cities in the County have developed
a joint powers agreement that will provide a mechanism for seeking and aggregating funds for the
development of affordable housing throughout the County; and
WHEREAS, it is important that development of affordable housing be more region -based
and every opportunity explored to bring that housing to the citizens of our community,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED:
1. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute the Joint Powers Agreement creating the
Housing Endowment and Trust of San Mateo as contained in Exhibit A hereto.
The Clerk is directed tb attest to the signature of the Mayor.
I, DORIS MORTENSEN, City Clerk of the City of Burlingame, do hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 16thday of
2003, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: BAYLOCK, COFFEY, GALLIGAN, JAN NEY, 01MAHONY
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
