Edwards, Mr. Moody. MINUTES 7Anutes of the previous meeting of January 21, `1959, were read and approved. BILLS On motion by ;fir. Moody, seconded by Pair. Crosby, bills in the amount of ' 2,073.83 were ordered paid. LIBRARIAN'S REPORT T e Librarians report was read and accepted. MONTHLY FINANCIAL STATEMENT T e financial statemenE was approved and placed on file. 0M BUSINESS Stao"��xtension. The Librarian stated that as far as he was able to determine, t e necessary court action would take place in March. State Library Commission Survey?Act. After a brief discussion, it was moved by ..ir. Edwards ansecor__e y T . Moody, that our state legislators be advised that the trustees of the Burlingame Public Library oppose State Library Survey Act in its present form. Voice vote was 4 to 1. NE'%' BUSINESS Friends 'ofthe Library. There is to be a meeting February 27th and all are urged to attend. _ Change of .,Meetinpg� Time. After a brief discussion it was decided to leave the meeting time as it is at present. Sutro Library. After a discussion of the proposed shift of the Sutro Library from nye 'State Library to the :University of California, it was moved by Mr. Edwards, and seconded by .;r. Moody, that "the Library Board opposes the Senate Dill 656, introduced by Senator Donnelly, which proposes to transfer the Sutro Library to the University of California." The Librarian was instructed to send copies of this action to the parties concerned. ADJOURNME On a motion by Mr. Crosby, seconded by Mr. Edwards, the meeting adjourned. Respectfully submitted, G. P.
