Trustees Present; Pres. Cohendet, Trustee Harrison, Trustee Edwards
Trustees Absent; Trustee Nloody, Trustee Crosby
Due to Trustee Harrison's inability to attend the meeting at the
library, the members present adjourned to her home.
MINUTES
minutes of the previous meeting of February 16, 1960 were read and approved.
BILLS
On a motion by Trustee Edwards, seconded by Trustee Harrison, bills in the amount
of $30,620.88 were ordered paid.
LIBRARIANtS REPORT
The Librariants report was read and accepted.
MONTHLY FINANCIAL STATEMTT
The financial statement was approved and placed on file.
OLD BUSINESS
The Librarian discussed various aspects of moving problems and stated that he felt
that the changes would increase the efficiency of the circulation and reference
desks, although until certain staff changes were made, this would not be too
{ apparent. C n
COt,11i1UNICA^lIONS
A letter eras received from Col. Norberg in which he stated that as supervising
Architect of the recently completed building additions, to the best of his
knowledge and belief= these additions, with the exception of the authorized changes,
had been constructed in accordance with the plans, specifications and details
for this work, prepared by him and previously approved by the Board. Mr. Edwards
did not think this letter adequate, and stated that he would submit a more appro-
priate letter for Col. Norberg's signature.
NEW BUSINESS
Governor ts 7onference. Mrs. Cohendet stated that she and Mr. Moody were planning
to attend the Governorts Conference on Public Library Service April 6-7-8, 1960.
The Librarian stated that he had also received an invitation and would attend if
possible at least one day.
Golden Gate Section of CLA Meeting. The Librarian stated thatseveralmembers of
the library staff were planning to attend this meeting at the University of San
Francisco April 2nd. The Board agreed that it was a 'good thing for those who could
o, to try to attend.

The meeting adjourned on a motion_ by Trustee Edwards, seconded by Trustee Harrison.
