ADJOURNMENT: P MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BURLINGAME PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD August 16, 1960 Trustees Present: Pres. Cohendet, Trustee Crosby, Trustee Edwards, Trustee Moody. Trustees Absent: Trustee Harrison. MINUTES M n�u� of the previous meeting of July 19, 1960 were read and approved. BILLS On a motion by Trustee Moody, seconded by Trustee Crosby, bills in the amount of $1,732.31 were ordered paid. LIBRARIAN'S REPORT The Librar ants report was read and accepted. MONTHLY FINANCIAL STATEMENT The f nanc a statement was approved and placed on file. OLD BUSINESS Section of Secretary. It was moved by Trustee Crosby, seconded by Trustee Edwards, that Trustee Moody continue as Secretary. Motion carried. Summer Reading Club Party. The Librarian stated that he hoped that some of the Trustees could be present at the party September 2nd. Mrs. Cohendet stated that she definitely would be present. Change of Meeting Time. After a short discussion by all members present, it was brought out that they would much rather attend an early morning meeting. Trustee Edwards made a motion that the meeting time be changed from 7:30 P.M. to 8 A.M. at the library on the third Tuesday of the month. Motion was carried. Policy Report. Pres. Cohendet reviewed at length the policies of the Library Board's minutes as shown in the last eleven years. Such changes as are necessary will be discussed at later meetings. Safe. Pres. Cohendet and the Librarian both reported that they are attempting to find a safe for the Branch that would come within the budget figure of $50 and still be in the "B" insurance classification. Children's Librarian Replacement. The Librarian stated that he expected to interview an applicant within the next week. Theme is no doubt that enthusiastic personnel promotes library use, MEETINGS ATTENDED The Librarian attended a committee meeting of the Peninsula Librarians which was concerned with the disposal of discards of last copies in the special fields of each library.
