Due to the absence of Pres. Cohendet, Trustee Edwards acted as
chairman protem.

BILLS
On a motion by Trustee Edwards, seconded by Trustee Crosby, bills in the amount of
x2,257.31 ere ordered paid.
LIBR?`RIAN'S REPORT
The Librarian's report was read and accepted.

The financial statement was approved and placed on file.

A safe has not as yet been purchased. It seems that it will probably be necessary
to spend as much as X90 in order to obtain a satisfactory insurable one.
Children's Librari=an Replacement. The Librarian stated that he had temporarily
employed Tiliss Lora Palovic as Children's Librarian., who is well qualified to take the
Civil Service examination as soon as it can be set up. The Librarian stated that such
an examination was authorized in the minutes of Au;ust 13, 1959. The Librarian stated
that at this time he will forraard an appropriate letter of appreciation as requested
in the Noven ber 17, 1959 minutes, at which time the resignation of 'ldrs. Foltz was
accepted to be effective December 31, 1959 or at such time as we can, obtain a replace-
ment. The Board ex-�;resses its thanks to 1rs. Foltz for her continued service for
almost a year from the date she wished to resign.

t: letter was received from the Civil Service Commission statim that llrs. Patricia Tc .
Bergsing had been placed on the eligible list for Senior Librarian.
BUSIT`r'SS
Appointment of !,.ss. Bergsing as Senior Librarian. On a motion by Trustee I°_'oody,
seconded by Trustee Crosby, it was moved that 1rs. Patricia i;T. Bergsing be appointed
as Senior Librarian as of October 1, 1900.
C.L.P.. Convention. The Librarian mentioned that he will attend the C.L.A. Convention
and that Pres. Cohendet, past President of the Trustees Section of the C.L.t, will
attend as a reTresentative of the Board. TLrs. Bergsing and T�iss Palovic will. attend
for the first tire.
