BURLINGAME PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD
June 20, 1,061
Trustees Present: Pres. Cohendet, Trustee Crosby, Trustee Edwards
Trustees Absent: Trustee Harrison, Trustee Moody
MINUTES
Minutes of the previous meeting of May 16, 1961, were read and approved.
BILLS
On a motion by Trustee Crosby, seconded by Trustee Edwards, bills in the amount of $6,704.87
were ordered paid.
LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
The Librarian's report was read and accepted.
MONTHLY FINANCIAL STATEMENT
The financial statement was approved and placed on file.
OLD BUSINESS
Capital Budget. The lot to the east of the library, as outlined in the Individual Project Estimates
for the 5 Year Capital Budget Program submitted to the city council, was discussed.
Budget for 1961-62. The Librarian explained the addition of $2,000 to the operations budget to
cover city expenditures either in time or insurance costs for library purposes. He stated that at
the previous council meeting the budget was held over; also the salary ordinance was held over
until a later meeting.
There was considerable discussion on reserve funds in relationship to fines and fees.
NEW BUSINESS
Children's Librarian. The Librarian stated that Miss Palovic has resigned as of August 1st, 1961,
and that some suitable arrangement, temporary or otherwise, would have to be made.
Governor's Conference. Mrs. Cohendet stated that she would report on the Governor's Conference
at the next meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Crosby, seconded by Edwards, the meeting adjourned.
