Trustees Absent: None. MINUTES Minutes of the previous meeting of April 17, 1962 were read and approved. BILLS On a motion by Mrs. Cohendet, seconded by Mrs. Harrison, bills in the amount of $2,389.70 were ordered paid. 1 LIBRARIAN'S REPORT The Librarian's report was read and accepted. MONTHLY FINANCIAL STATEMENT The financial statement was approved and placed on file. OLD BUSINESS Music Room Plaque. After some discussion it was agreed that the room dedicated to Mrs. Armsby should so state on the door. A suitable plaque of the following wording would be placed in the room: "This Room Dedicated to the Memory of Mrs. Lenora Woods Armsby, President of the San Francisco Symphony 1928 to 1952, and a Charter Member of the Friends of the Library". Moved by Mrs. Harrison and seconded by Mrs. Cohendet that such be tte order. Irene Smith Room Plaque. It was moved by Mrs. Harrison, seconded by Mrs. Cohendet, that the following plaque be placed,at the entrance to the small Reference Room: "Reference Room Dedicated to the Memory of Irene Smith, Librarian, 1928-1948." Policy Statement. Mrs. Cohendet presented excerpts from the minutes over the past 13 years in regard to policies. The Librarian stated that copies would be made for use of the Board members for further study. COMMUNICATIONS A ter some discussion it was decided that a letter should be written to Mrs. Johnson thanking her for her presence at the April 17th meeting, and for bringing refreshments. It was also stated that the Friends be requested to thank Mr. Mosel for his help in mounting the pictures in the Armsby Room. NEW BUSINESS As the result of the Civil Service examination for Library Assistant, Miss Ramon Trinrud, who was placed at the top of the list, was appointed as of May 16th, 1962, on a motion by Mrs. Cohendet, seconded by Mrs. Harrison and motion carried.
