Trustees Absent: Trustee Harrison.

Mltnu�es of the previous meeting of March 18, 1963, were read and approved.
BILLS
n a motion by Trustee Del;tartini, seconded by Trustee Lynes, bills in the amount of
x;3,263.87 were ordered paid.
LIBRARIAN'S REPORT A iD Pd\TNJAL BUDGET REPORT
The genera o Tectives an perzormance s ement of the Tentative Budget 1963-64 was
read and discussed. Trustee Ijioody stated that he believed it should be submitted to
the newspapers. Other members of the Board concurred.
OLD BUSINESS
Branc'fie. After some discussion, it was agreed that Trustee Lynes and Trustee
Moody would meet with Dr. Cory of the California Teachers' Association and continue
the discussion for the proposed Branch on the CTA site.
Bud,-et. A review of the present Reserve Fund was discussed, and the possibility for
tn�e immediate removal of the building on the adjacent property was considered, and
the possibility of parking under the proposed extension of the library, was briefly
reviewed. It was moved by Trustee Lynes, seconded by Trustee Del,Iartini, that the
Library Board request that an additional ten cents be added to the present tax rate
in order to increase the total Reserve Fund to an amount to partially help pay for
any extension that may be made.
Nor! BUSINESS
Health Insurance. The Librarian stated that I:Iiss Twisselman, our former page, who
has been appointed library aide by the Board with the approval of the Civil Service
Commission and the City Prianager, be allowed to receive the benefits of the city health
insurance program. The Librarian stated that the City ?:.anager believed that this
would be feasible with the approval of the Library Board. On a motion by Trustee
Lynes, seconded by Trustee De",artini, it was moved that I:Iiss Twisselman be granted
the right to come under the city health and insurance program.
Dedication of Reference Room. Trustee Cohendet stated that the Reference Room would
be dedicated on Sunday, April 21st at 1 o'clock, and that The Friends would serve tea.
