MINUTES
Minutes of the previous meeting of October 23, 1963 were read and approved.
BILLS
On a motion by Trustee DeMartini, seconded by Trustee Lynes, the bills in the
amount of 5e5,841.87 were ordered paid.
LIBRARIAN 1 S REPORT
The LibrarianTs report was read and accepted.
MONTHLY FINANCIAL STATIlUIENT
The financial statement was approved and placed on file.

arg ng ac ines. The Librarian reported that the charging machines were on
order.
Planning Grant. After a brief discussion in which it was brought out again that
The library would be under no obligation to join a system or accept state aid, the
Librarian submitted the Resolution to Permit Joint Application with Other Libraries
in San Mateo County for a Planning Grant under the Provisions of A.B.59 the Public
Library Service Act. It was moved by Trustee DeMartini, seconded by Trustee Lynes,
that the Resolution be read by title only. On a voice vote: Ayes �-- Trustee Lynes,
Trustee Cohendet, Trustee DeMartini, Trustee Harrison; Noes - none; Absent -
Trustee Moody.
CoZying Machine. The Librarian stated that the copying machine was now in service
and that the students seemed to be enthusiastic in its use. Trustee DeMartini
stated that his children had been using the machine and were most enthusiastic.
The Librarian stated again that he hoped that the mutilation of books and magazines
would be considerably reduced by the installation of this machine.

A letter was received from Aline Lorenz thanking the Library Board for the flowers
sent to the funeral of her husband, Dr. Joseph Lorenz.
NEW BUSINESS
CLA. After a brief discussion, it was agreed by the Board that those who wish to
atfend should send in their own registrations and submit bills for payment.
