RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT WITH
U.S. FILTER OPERATING SERVICES FOR OPERATION OF THE WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT AND ASSOCIATED SERVICES
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame:
WHEREAS, the City has contracted with Wheelabrator EOS, Inc. and its successor U.S.
Filter Operating Services for the past nine years to provide the operation of the City wastewater
treatment plant and associated services; and
WHEREAS, this arrangement has been beneficial to the City in providing a professional
staff, in-depth knowledge, and efficient cost containment; and
WHEREAS, negotiations between the City and U.S. Filter Operating Services have
developed a proposed agreement that would sustain these services at reasonable costs to the City
and the community; and
WHEREAS, these services are highly specialized and unique, and a five-year renewal of the
agreement with amendments between the City and U.S. Filter Operating Services would be in the
best interests of the community,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED:
1. The Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A is approved.
2. The City Manager is authorized and directed to execute the Agreement for and on behalf
of the City of Burlingame.
3. The City Clerk is directed to witness the Manager's signature on behalf of the City.
I, DORIS MORTENSEN, Deputy City Clerk of the City of Burlingame, do hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on
