RESOLUTION SUPPORTING OPPOSITION OF THE
CITY OF HALF MOON BAY TO INITIATION OF
RECYCLING PROCEDURES REGARDING ROUTE 92
IN SAN MATEO COUNTY BETWEEN ROUTE 1 AND
ROUTE 280
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Half Moon Bay,
by its Resolution 71-79, has expressed its strong opposition to
the initiation of recycling procedures to consider rescission of
the adopted freeway alignment connection the 280 Interchange with
the Mid-Coastside Area of San Mateo County, particularly that
portion of Route 92 between Route 1 and Route 280; and
WHEREAS, all residents of San Mateo County would be
affected by such rescission action due to the general use of this
highway and the particular utilization of it for the solid waste
disposal side at Ox Mountain; and
WHEREAS, this Council agrees that such action now being
recommended by Andriana Gianturco would be wholly premature and
prejudicial to comprehensive local and regional planning;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of
the City of Burlingame that this City joins the City of Half Moon
Bay in its strong opposition to initiation of the recycling pro-
cedures above described.
BE I^1 FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
be sent to the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo
and the city councils of all cities within the County of San
