RESOLUTION NO. 85- 79
RESOLUTION GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
FOR NONPROFIT SCHOOL - 2720 MARIPOSA DRIVE
RESOLVED, by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame
WHEREAS, on July 31, 1979, application was made to the
Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame by ANDRIANA
LONZARICH and JUNE WISECARVER for a conditional use permit for
the operation of a nonprofit nursery school on the premises of the
Episcopal Church of the Ascension at 2720 Mariposa Drive; and
WHEREAS, said application was heard by the Planning
Commission of the City of Burlingame on September 24, 1979, and
October 10, 1979, said hearings being properly noticed as required
by law; and
WHEREAS, the permit was denied by the Planning Commis -
Sion, a timely appeal filed by the applicants, and a public hear-
ing upon said appeal scheduled and held by the City Council on
the 5th day of November, 1979;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED AND DETERMINED by the
Citv Council of the City of Burlingame:
1. That the following findings of fact are made
regarding said application:
(a) The application of ADRIANA LONZARICH and JUNE
WISECARVER is for the operation of a nonprofit nursery
school to have a. maximum enrollment of twenty-eight
students, which facilities are to be located in the
existing building of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension
located at 2720 Mariposa Drive, Burlingame.
(b) There will be no significant traffic, parking
or noise impact from the allowing of the nursery school

operation as set forth in the application and as limited
by the conditions set forth in the memoranda of the
Planning Director and Fire Department.
(c) The use as described in said documents and
the testimony at the hearing is appropriate and compatible
with the R-1 Zoning District, and with the uses of the
properties in the vicinity of the premises.
2. The granting of the permit applied for will be
in the interests of the health and welfare of the persons using
said property, of the City of Burlingame, and,subject to the
conditions hereinafter set forth, will be in conformity with
reasonable and orderly use of the property.
3. The decision of the Planning Commission is hereby
reversed and a special permit for the operation of a nonprofit
nursery school at 2720 Mariposa Drive, Burlingame, is approved,
subject to the three conditions of the Fire Department, and the
seven Planning Commission conditions (both as noted in the City
Planner's memorandum of November 5, 1979), and with the additio
condition that the play yard be relocated to conform with the
alternate plan presentedduring the City Council public hearing;
said permit to be reviewed in one year.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at
