RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING APPLICATION
FOR FEDEAL AND STATE GRANTS FOR PUBLICLY
OWNED WASTEWATER TREATMENT WORKS AND PRO-
VIDING CERTAIN ASSURANCES
BE IT RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of
Burlingame that the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to sign and file, for and on behalf of the City of
Burlingame, an Application for Federal Assistance under the
Federal Water Pollution Control Act, as amended (33 U.S.C. 1251,
et seq.) and any agreements or other documents necessary to
secure and receive a grant under said act and a state grant under
the Clean Water Bond Law of 1970 and/or 1974 for construction of
wastewater treatment works.
BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Burlingame hereby
agrees and further does authorize the aforementioned representa-
tive to certify that if grants for its project are made pursuant
to the aforementioned federal and state statutes, it will comply
with all applicable state and federal statutory and regulatory
requirements, including but not limited to the assurances containe(
in the Federal Grant Application and the State Grant Contract, the
Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. 552 as amended relating to
the right of the public to obtain information and records, the
National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, 16 U.S.C. 470, et sue.,
as amended, relating to the preservation of historic landmarks,
the Copeland (Anti -Kickback) Act, 18 U.S.C. 874, 40 U.S.C. 276c,
and the regulations issued thereunder, 29 CFR 3.1, et sue., and
the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, 40 U.S.C. 327,
et seq., and the regulations issued thereunder.

I, EVELYN H. HILL, City Clerk of the City of Burlingame,
do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced at
a regular meeting of the Burlingame City Council held on the
21st day of July, 1980, and was adopted thereafter by the follow-
ing vote:
