HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 042-1980RESOLUTION NO. 42 80 RESOLUTION OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY LUXOR CAB COMPANY RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame that: WHEREAS, Chapter 6.36 of the Burlingame Municipal Code provides that taxi permits may be granted by this Council upon notice and hearing and a determination of public convenience and necessity; and WHEREAS, an application was received from LUXOR CAB COMPANY requesting the issuance of three (3) taxi permits for the use of that company within the City of Burlingame; and WHEREAS, a hearing on the granting of said permits was held on July 7, 1980, notice having been given as required by law, evidence taken, and testimony presented; NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ORDERED AND DETERMINED 13 that this Council does declare that the public convenience and necessity require that three (3) taxicab permits be granted to LUXOR CAB COMPANY, this Council having determined from the evidence and testimony presented at said hearing that there is a demand for additional taxicab service, that existing taxicab service is not adequate, that the applicant, LUXOR CAB COMPANY, is financially responsible and has appropriate experience, and that additional taxicab service will have no effect upon traffic congestion, parking and will not be a hazard to the public. Said permits shall be granted for a period of six (6) month, IS-2�I Mayor 7/8/80 7/1/80 I, EVELYN H.
