RESOLUTION URGING EXTENSION OF CITY/
COUNTY HIGHWAY PROGRAM TO:JULY 1, 1985
RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame, California,
as follows:
WHEREAS, for the past decade the City/County Highway Program has
been sharing the 2106 Funds of the County of San Mateo with its cities
primarily on the basis of population; and
WHEREAS, these funds are expended on certain designated streets
which are utilized by both city and county vehicles, which expenditure is
on the basis of two-thirds contribution by the county and one-third matching
from the city; and
WHEREAS, the administration of the County of San Mateo has recommends
that the program be extended for five years to July 1, 1985, but the Board
of Supervisors has determined to fund only one additional year of the program;

WHEREAS, City/County Engineers' Association of San Mateo County
has recommended that city councils adopt a resolution urging the extension
of the program for a full five years;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ORDERED and DETERMINED that the City
Council of the City of Burlingame does hereby urge the Board of Supervisors
of the County of San Mateo to extend the City/County Highway Program for
utilization of 2106 Funds to July 1, 1985.

certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting
of the Burlingame City Council held on the 21st day of January, 1980, and
was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
