RESOLUTION NO. 12-80
RESOLUTION REQUESTING COOPERATION
WITH THE CITY OF BURLINGAME IN DISCUS-
SIONS REGARDING THE FUTURE OF THE
BURLINGAME ICE RINK
RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of this Council
that the Burlingame Ice Rink, long a fixture in the City of
Burlingame, is currently the subject of a sales transaction which
may lead to the discontinuance of its services; and
WHEREAS, it is the concern of this City Council that
a facility of this type, providing a unique recreation opportuni
and representing a great investment of finances and time of
parents and children of this community and those around us,
should not be placed in any other use without full consideration
of all possible alternatives;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Burlingame that Homestead Savings & Loan
Association and all other parties are requested to allow this
Council to act as a mediator among the interested parents, skaters
owners, operators and all other parties toward the end of dis-
cussing all possible steps toward the retaining of this asset of
our City.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at
a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 3rd day of
March, 1980, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
