RE SOLUTION
To purchase 48.828 acres of land from Standard
Realty and Development 6omi)any and to accept a
Deed therefor*.
AS Standard fealty and Cevelopment Company,
a corporation, the Owner of the real property herein after
described has offered to sell the same to the City of 3urlingame
for cash in the suns of g4,882.80; and,
u -AREAS, the City Council after due consideration of the
� offer, believe it to be to the benefit and advantage of the City
that the aforesaid offer be accepted and that the purchase by
the City be completed upon the terms offered;
NO , ,i,E- 011, be it resolved by the City Council of
the City of 3urlingame, that the said City purchase from Standard
Realty and: Development Company, a corporation, the following
real property, situate lying and being in the City of 3urlingame,
County of San :Mateo, State of Califoriai.a, described as follows:
A parcel of land, being part of that property- now or
formerly belonging to the -3ay Counties Land Co. in the City
of 3urlingame, in 6ection 18, Township 4 South, Range 4 idest,
and Section 13, Township 4 South, Range 5 wrest, 11I.D.3. &
said parcel being ii.ore particularly described as follows:
3e innin, at the cuarter section corner common to
Sections l and 3 in said Township 4 South, iMange 5 hest,
which is the most westerly corner of the said property of
the 3ay Counties Land Co.; thence along_ the line between
said 3ectiois 12 and 13, orth 89° 3e1 .past, a distance of
226.86 feet, more or less, to a oint which is" 50 feet
northeasterly measured on the radial line, from the located
center line of the laestern Pacific California Railroad
CoMpanyts line of railroad; thence concentric with said
center line on a curve to the left, which curve has a radius
of 2814.82 feet, an arc distance of 2313,60 feet to -ooint of
tangency, the chord of which bears South 62" 131 Lasl a d is-
,�tance of 2249.02 feet; thence from point of tangency South

tangency- thence on a curve to the left, whicii curve has a

meandered tide line of San Francisco Bay; thence following
said tide line meander and propertlines of said bay Counties
Land Co., North 88° 45 1/2' West 2676.48 feet- North 81° 04'
Vrest 1345.01 feet, and North 79° 35' West, 376.75 feet, more
or less, to the intersection of said meander line with the
Township line between the aforementioned sectiois 13 and 18;
thence continuing along said meander line and along the afore-
mentioned propertyy line: of the bay Counties Land Co. North
81° 35' Vuest, 1071.54 feet; North 63` 05 1/4' Test, 363.53 feet;
and north 49° 22 1/4' u+est, 1647.84 feet, more or less, to the '
place of beginning. Said parcel of land containing 48.828
acres, more or less.
subject to existing right of way granted by Bay Counties
Land Co., a corporation, to Sierra and San Francisco Power Co.,
a corporation, by deed dated October 5, 1909 and recorded
November 23, 1909, in liber 172 of Deeds, at page 485, San
Mateo County Records.
Also subject to existing right of way granted by Bay
Counties Land Co., a corporation, to Pacific Gas & Electric
Company, a corporation, by deed dated December 22, 1924 and
recorded September 14, 1925 in liber 192 of Official records,
page 62, San i,iateo County Records;
Also subject to any obligation to install and maintain
Grade Crossings imposed on hestern Pacific California Railroad
Company, by terms of a deed from Bay Counties Land Co., a
corporation, dated April, 29, 1931 and recorded in the office of
the County iiecorder of San Mateo County on Kay 8, 1931 in
Volume 522 of Official records at page 216;
For the sum of Four Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-two
and 80/100 Dollars (44,882.80);
Be if further resolved that the City Treasurer is
hereby authorized to make payment of the aforesaid sum to
Standard Realty and Development Company, a corporation, in
consideration of a sufficient deed conveying the said real
property to the City of 3urlingame free and clear of any and

RESOLUTION
all liens and encumbrances save ana except tnose herein above
set forth;
Be it further resolved that the deed conveying said
real property to the City of Burlingame, subject to the
encumbrances herein set forth, be, and the same is hereby
accepted by the City Council of said City.
The foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on July 17, 1944 and was
adopted by the following vote:
