HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 031-2003RESOLUTION NO. 31-2003 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME APPROVING MASTER FEE SCHEDULE FOR CITY SERVICES WHEREAS, the City has conducted a comprehensive review of the fees that it charges to persons seeking specific services or use of City facilities; and WHEREAS, in order to ensure that the cost of such services is bome by the users in a fair and equitable manner, fees are being adjusted to better reflect actual costs to the City and the City's taxpayers in providing those services and facilities; and WHEREAS, the increased fees to be charged by the Planning Department and the development fees charged by the Engineering and Parks Divisions cannot go into effect for sixty (60) days after adoption of this Resolution pursuant to Government Code section 66017; and WHEREAS, many of the fees on the schedule are already in existence and this resolution simply lists and affirm those fees and should not be construed as re -adopting them in any way so as to suspend their operation in any way; and WHEREAS, while every effort has been made to establish a master schedule of fees, there may be existing fees in the Municipal Code or elsewhere that have been omitted and nothing in this resolution is intended to repeal those fees nor does this resolution affect in any way any taxes of any kind, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 1. The Master Fee Schedule contained in Exhibit A is approved and shall take effect immediately with the following exceptions: a. The returned check fee contained in the City-wide schedule shall go into effect on July 1, 2003. 2003. b. The proposed fees contained in the Planning schedule shall go into effect on May 18, c. The proposed fees for arborist services on planning and building permit applications shall go into effect on May 18, 2003. d.
