RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
APPROVING AMENDMENT NO.2 TO AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN
MATEO TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE
DISPATCH SERVICES FOR FIRE
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame:
WHEREAS, the City entered into a Joint Powers Agreement to provide county -wide
paramedic services through the cities and fire districts in the County; and
WHEREAS, as part of that JPA, central dispatching services were required for all
paramedic service through the County of San Mateo; and
WHEREAS, in 1999, the City entered into an agreement with the County for the provision
of those services; and
WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo is willing to continue to provide dispatch services to
the City for fire suppression responses; and
WHEREAS, combining fire dispatch for both paramedic and fire suppression services is in
the public interest, and the County has done a good job of providing that service to the City and
other fire agencies in the County,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED:
1. The City Manager is authorized and directed to execute Amendment No. 2 to the
Agreement between the City and the County of San Mateo for fire suppression dispatch services as
contained in Exhibit A hereto.
2. The Clerk is directed to attest to the signature—"e Manager.
