HomeMy WebLinkAboutMin - LB - 1966.05.18 MINUTES OF.THE MEETING OF THE BURLINGAME PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD May 18, 1966 Trustees Present: Mr. Lynes, Mrs. Cohendet, Mr. DeMartini, Mr. Hechinger, Mr. Moody. MINUTES The minutes of the meeting of April 20, 1966, were read and approved. BILIS On a motion by Trustee DeMartini, seconded by Trustee Cohendet, bills in the amount of $3,977.74 were ordered paid. LIBRARIAN'S REPORT The Librarian's report was read and approved. MONTHLY FINANCIAL STATEMENT The monthly financial statement was read and placed on file. OLD BUSINESS Tapestry. The Librarian stated that he could find nothing in the Billings' Estate inventory as no tapestries were mentioned as such. He stated that he will pursue the identification further. (See Librarian's report) Budget. The Budget is now in the hands of the Council. Capital Expenditure Budget. The Librarian stated that the Planning Commission recommended the inclusion in the 1966-67 Capital Expenditure Budget the addition to the Children's Room, and the extension to the east in the Capital Expenditure Budget 1967-68. NEW BUSINESS Possible Branch Site. Trustee Lynes stated that he and the librarian met with Mr. George White, Supt. of Elementary Schools, and discussed a possible branch site on Quesada, next to the Elementary School. Mr. White said he would speak to the individual board members. It was agreed that whatever was to be done should be done before consolidation. The Board expressed its approval of the conference and agreed that whatever action was to be taken should be before consolidation.
